  • The role reports to the CEO and is part of the senior management team of the business

    1. Capability in and understanding of grassland crops and weed control

    2. Understanding of veterinary medicines with specific capability in parasite control products for large and small animals

    3. Set out the strategic vision and plan with delivery of same for this business on the IOI in line with company objectives and ambition

    4. Own the responsibility of business development, profitability and growth

    5. Work closely with the Area Managers to achieve the strategic objectives of the business

    6. Set out annual budgets on revenues and gross margin with delivery on same

    7. Capable and a conscientious self-starter who is task and results orientated with sound business awareness and an ability to assess what is important to the business and will deliver results

    8. Identify new customer and sales channel opportunities

    9. Credible, good business presence. Excellent negotiation skills for meeting and working through trading issues

    10. Develop strong commercial relationships with all customers

    11. Working closely with the Marketing Manager execute the annual marketing plans

    12. Work with the Technical Director and wider team to identify new product opportunities that meet consumer need and category growth objectives

    13. A key member of the innovation team

    14. Analytical and fact-based approach to business building

    15. Excellent Presentation skills. Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Numeric skills for data analysis

    16. Organised and good administrator to balance the different aspects of the role.

    17. Drive and ambition with the desire and ability to make a significant contribution.

    18. Balanced in judgement, be factual with the capacity to act decisively and confidently and make the right decisions.

    19. Provide technical support to the area managers, customers and farmers

    20. Be responsible, Be clear, Be Respectful, Be a good listener and communicator

  • 1. 5 Years Senior Commercial Experience, in veterinary and agricultural industry

    2. Business degree

    3. Demonstrable Achievements in career to date

    4. Demonstrable evidence of building a business in a changing and challenging environment

    5. Professional Advisor compliance required. For the successful candidate, if not already awarded PA status, then training will be provided. Annual completion of points to maintain PA status is compulsory

    6. Driving license

    6. Identify new customer and sales channel opportunities
